"Had the trip proven to be only 'Yoga in Yosemite,' I'm certain it would have been wonderful...but it was so much more. I came home more conscious and present than perhaps I've ever been. And when I begin to feel pushed or pulled away from my center, I have that space to return to - to return to me."

~ Yosemite Yoga with Darren Main, 2004

"I want to thank you again for a most extraordinary adventure in Yosemite. What a great first backpacking adventure... with great memories of fascinating conversations on the trail."

~ Yosemite Yoga with Darren Main, 2004

"What made this trip memorable was joining a group of strangers, and in a fairly short period of time developing a closeness and trust that imparted a real sense of family."

~ Yosemite Yoga with Samantha Matthews, 2006

"My favorite yoga session was definitely Sunday morning on top of the mountain!! Powerful, breathtaking, and beautiful!"

~ Yosemite Yoga with Christopher Love, 2005

"The miso soup really hit the spot and the food was exceptional overall!"

~ Yosemite Yoga with Samantha Matthews, 2006

Yosemite Yoga with Karl Erb
July 21 - 25, 2010
Yosemite Yoga with Karl Erb
Karl's passion for yoga has gone through many stages in the 25 years since he began practicing. Studying many forms and styles, Karl's deepest training has been in the Iyengar method of Hatha and Ashtanga yoga. Students say Karl inspires a depth of feeling and focus that is increasingly rare in the current Yoga market, aiding students in revealing awareness they never thought possible or even knew existed. Practice with Karl is a celebration of the gift of breath, the gift of yoga, a time to touch your truest nature while deeply immersing yourself in ever deepening knowledge of the asanas, the body, mind, and senses.

In Yosemite the unique setting and community allows a deep exploring of the wide family of yogic whole person wellness practices: Asana (postures, movement), meditation, pranayama (breath work), discussion, inquiry, song & devotion and in particular, an exploration of our place in this world with the Five Elements meditations to deepen our experience of connection with nature around us, daily. For those who come a unique and rich bond is formed through the shared adventure and we come away enriched with tools and perspective to tap into year round.
